Q: How to determine the specifications and quantity of supports?

A: This must be determined by a professional engineer based on seismic intensity, equipment weight, and layout of the project location. Standard drawings or experience cannot be directly applied.

Q: Is it the same as a regular support?

A: Completely different. Regular supports bear weight, while seismic supports are specifically designed to resist horizontal seismic forces. The two have different functions and cannot be substituted for each other; they must be used together in the system.
