Crossarms must be fixed to the pole/tower using crossarm clamps (U-shaped structure, made of galvanized steel, stainless steel, or composite materials). These clamps should be corrosion-resistant, slip-resistant, and compatible with poles from 80-300mm in diameter, capable of withstanding a 500kg static load and winds up to force 8.

Composite material crossarms have a comparable overall cost to traditional angle iron crossarms, but lower maintenance costs over their 30-year lifespan, offering superior cost-effectiveness
